Printing directly onto eggs requires the use of a FDA-compliant, food-grade inks in conjunction with a printer. The Moba-Diamond sorting and packaging machines provide very limited access to the eggs thus improving cleanliness. Normally the eggs are printed from below with the print head pointing up.

Printers
The CodeNet printer provides for an interface directly to the Moba -Diamond packaging machines. Message selection can be made from the Moba-Diamond interface or the message can be downloaded via the serial interface.

The CodeCube printer does not interface to the packaging machine and operates in a standalone mode. Messages are stored on the printer and selected by the operator for printing.

Inks for Other Printer Manufacturers
Independent Ink Inc. sells food-grade inks for other printer OEMs such as Videojet, Domino and Imaje. These inks meet or exceed the OEM manufacturers’ specifications at a significantly reduced price. Switching to Independent Ink inks and make-up will substantially reduce your printing costs.
